Pruning

Aesthetic and Structural Fruit Tree Pruning
Dormant season fruit tree pruning for the small homestead orchard with a focus on fruit production and tree aesthetics. With an understanding of the biology and growth patterns of our most beloved orchard trees, I make my cuts with precision and care to keep your trees healthy and productive into the future. I also prune berries and grapes on request.

I have been working with fruit 20+ years and consider myself a fruit enthusiast. I participate in scion exchanges, where fruit nerds trade varieties for grafting, and am a member of NAFEX (North American Fruit Explorers). When I moved to Grants Pass I inherited a 20 year old orchard which had never been properly pruned and spent 3 years restoring it. I currently maintain about 125 trees on the farm, 40 of them heirloom cider apple varieties.

I prune professionally in the Grants Pass Area January through March.

Aesthetic and Structural Rose Pruning
With the right treatment a rose bush can thrive and flourish for as many as 100 years. We offering seasonal rose pruning with an understanding of how roses grow and regenerate. It is best to prune roses when the fruit trees are blooming and most of the years’ frost is complete, thus we prune roses in the Grants Pass area in March and April.

We have been working with roses 20+ years and have our own collection of close to 100 varieties that we regularly propagate. We are thrilled to be able to offer rose pruning service and education to our local Grants Pass community.
